DUCC commissioned a complete rebrand to elevate its professional presence and ensure its identity aligned with its mission of promoting trade and investment between Denmark and the UK. The organisation aimed for a contemporary, polished look that reflected the core values of Danish design—clean lines, simplicity, and thoughtful detail—while remaining modern and approachable.
The primary goal was to create a professional brand identity design that conveyed authority and flexibility. It needed to serve both diplomatic and corporate contexts, helping DUCC stay relevant in a competitive business environment. Additionally, budget considerations required a cost-effective design suitable for high-volume printing without sacrificing quality.
Design Approach
We collaborated closely with the DUCC board to craft a new visual identity that captured the organisation’s mission: promoting trade and investment between Denmark and the UK. Our design reflected Danish principles of simplicity and minimalism, ensuring a modern and professional look adaptable for future growth.
The solution centred on a clean, geometric icon that works independently or alongside the full name as a lock-up logo. This flexibility allowed the brand to perform well across formal event materials, digital platforms, and official communications.
To address budget needs, we designed the logo for single-colour printing, making large-volume production cost-effective. Despite this, we maintained a premium feel by choosing quality print finishes such as matt lamination and spot UV varnish. These tactile effects created subtle contrasts that enhanced key design features and elevated the overall visual impact.
